I have 2 plastic oboes: the beginner Yamaha (no low Bb or side F) and a more pro Selmer model (all keys).

The lightweight Yamaha is what I played in a summer pit orchestra, coldish nights. It did fine. This year I hope to use the Selmer but if weight becomes an issue, I'm back on the Yamaha.
