Two pieces that come to mind are: (The) Winter's Passed by Wayne Barlow (fairly easy) , recorded by Sprenkle in the '50's and performed by Ray Still in the '60's and then there was a piece by Karl Kroger (U. of I. then U. of Cinn. library) that Ray played on an ISCM concert at Northwest U. in about 1960 or so. As best as I can remember, it was entitled, something like Concertino for oboe and strings (not so easy), although the word "Concertino" may not be correct. Hope this helps. Regards.
