Overhaul, etc

Hello,

I'm looking for some suggestions for where to send my c series loree for an overhaul and possibly reaming of the bell or re-voicing if needed. I'm just not sure what to do. I think the oboe plays fine even though not much has been done to it since I bought it from my oboe teacher. Aesthetically, the oboe is not pretty. There is pitting of the keys, it was cracked and pinned, but it doesn't look smooth, seems a bit of a sloppy job, but it seals well and plays well. Oh, and the serial number of the top joint is different than the bottom joint. My teacher told me he matched that particular top joint with the bottom joint because it sounded better. Both joints are c series from the early 70's. I keep hearing about the classic c series lorees and cant help but wonder if I have a diamond in the rough. I really would like to get some opinions. I only paid $1,500 for the oboe, so I will probably end up spending more on adjustments than what I spent buying it. As far as where to send it, I have considered David Teitelbaum, David Weber (who I think really likes c series lorees) and Jason Onks. I'm sure there are other qualified repairmen as well, but I'm going by recommendations. Anyhow, I know David Teitelbaum is excellent, but will most likely be pricey. Maybe David Weber would also be a good choice. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
