As for Bb, C, and C#: I have an open ring Rigoutat.
1. It came with side Bb key. Actually it is not really for Bb but for Ab-Bb trill. But it works fine as Bb key in runs and trills.
2. Left middle finger does produce correct pitch for C. Its sound is muffled. I do not know what it takes to clean up the muffled sound to a clear tone.
3. All open position produces correct pitch for C#. It is not as muffled as the middle finger C. It is pretty good sound. I do use it for B-C# trill.
4. As I mentioned earlier, F and F# does not appear that bad either. (see my 2nd group of posting) -- I need to get use to attaching files.
My unexperienced (in voicing) view is that whole change over does not appear be that big a deal. Can this be cured with a good re-voicng? It is hard to believe that the entire tone holes need to be repositioned to get this accomplished.
