To Alban: You are quite correct, it is Larry Thorstenberg. It is fairly easy to tell when it is Mayer, as he used a throat vibrato. He is on the Reiner Carnival ov., Strauss Zarathustra 1, Don Juan 1, 1812, Bartok Concerto for O #1, Rosenkavalier, Gentilhomme, , but not Don Quixote, Sinfonia Domestica, etc. Thorstenberg is on Zarathustra #2, Don Juan #2 (I think), Don Quixote, Sym. Dom., Frank Sym.,)MOnteux), and especially The Pines of Rome which is the very best! Regards, Mayer, Still, Schiltz student and WFMT-CSO recording eng.

R. Still former student
