You don't really want to know how long my reeds last;
I tend to 'cycle' them to the back of the box and there are many times they come back from the dead to play well again.
Many pros will likely disagree that this is possible.
Oh well.
I DO know that water works better than spit, for longevity,
that cane density and cane quality matter.
For the reason those factors bring, I think it is not possible to 'predict' the hour-longevity of a good reed.
