6 months..... try 10 years! That was my situation about a year and a half ago when I started again.
Wether you do or do not have a medical condition, I don't know, but the fatigue just makes sense physiologically: the mouth muscles are not really designed to hold back the lips after so much pressure.
I did a "fast-track" approach to getting my mouth back in shape, some might object, but my blog has recordings that will show the results. I used to walk to work and that gave me about 30 minutes each way to buzz my reed.... my path allowed me to do that without undue embarrassment, though I did mentally say "stuff it" for some lengths of the way....
I basically kept taking the worst reeds I had and just blowing the begeebers out of them all the way. After a few weeks, I added articulation exercises, in time with my steps. But my only focus was to blow as hard as I could while keeping my jaw as dropped as possible and focus on my breathing muscles (abdomen).
Since then, I began to drive to work and my endurance has diminished. I only get to practice about 30 minutes a day (much less these couple of weeks because of work constraints). So I think the blow-the-begeebers technique was good. In fact, I found that this, essentially practicing fortissimo, made it much easier to play pianissimo.
Best of luck!
