I've only seen one up close in rather poor condition in a music shop in Norfolk/Portsmouth/IoW area of Virginia back in 2007. Unfortunately I didn't have my reeds or oboe on me at the time so couldn't say what the tuning/intonation was like and chances are it probably wasn't playable as it didn't look it. I would've had a go if I had my gear with me.

I bet you're talking about the one(s) I'm thinking of! The problem with them is they're fully automatic (German makers largely built ring key conservatoire systems with fully auto 8ves), they don't have a LH F key and they may not have a forked F vent but I will have to check on that.
