Any comments on her musicianship or accomplishments anyone?
Oboe is more than something that just makes pretty sound. To be qualified as the chair of woodwinds in Juilliard and/or principle chair at the Met must have made music or have done something worthwhile to hold the chair, not just make pretty sound. Her performance on MMO CDs was less than musical; played all the notes in tune and on the beat but not much more, in my opinion, but the sound was pretty. I was curious what made her what she is today.
