You ought to support the cor with a sling to take the weight off your right arm when playing for long periods and to free up your RH fingers more.
Cors are heavy instruments and no-one is doing themselves any favours playing them without a sling for long periods as it will put a strain and ultimately cause problems with your right thumb, wrist and arm.
You will need a bassoon sling as they've got a decent length of string (such as a BG sling - the CEO sling is too short).
