Why are you needing a narrower shape? Instead of spending money on a new shaper tip I would first try tying on longer, because that is the cheap way to narrow the shape.
I would only buy a new shaper tip out of experimentation, *just to try*- not out of necessity. Different shaper tips offer slight variations in the sound, but if there is an actual malfunction in the reed...it is usually not the fault of the shaper tip. If you are wanting more focus in high notes, tying on longer, and defining the sections of the reed more will help with that.
A new, narrower tip may fix a few problems, but it will create others.
And hey, if you don't like it narrower...you can always move the tie-on length back...instead of having to return a shaper tip.
