I tried a Selmer 'Centered Tone' bell on my Marigaux cor and this opened up the sound and changed the tone quality of the lower register - mainly the RH notes.
Could be a useful thing to do if playing Bach - use a clarinet bell on a modern cor to get something near an oboe da caccia sound.
