I hope Mr. Hiniker doesn't mind me posting this, but when I talked to him last he mentioned that he bought some cocobolo wood from a guy who made redorders. I guess the wood is supposed to be aged around 80 years or so. Anyhow, I will be eager to call in about a year or so to see how this wood works out. I'm on the waiting list for a grenadilla oboe. I guess grenadilla would be a safe investment, not sure if I want to take a chance on a different wood or not. I guess I'll have to wait and see how they turn out.
