I like Glotin cane. I learned to play on just about anything though because I get so frustrated making reeds sometimes. I don't live too far from Toronto. Every so often I'll drive down to Gary Armstrong to try out oboes and buy some cane and other supplies. It's kind of nice to hand pick my cane. Any thoughts on Duste cane? I think when I was a student that's what my teacher bought.
