 Flatness on my low notes..
Author: corinne

Well,

I finally got batteries for the tuner the other day, and where I thought I was just flat on my low F and D .. it turns out that every note under my low G is really flat. I don't really know why and don't know what I would adjust to fix this. Can anyone tell me?
I'm always hesitant to bring it to Giant Steps just because I know the guy that always works on my oboe plays saxophone, and he fixes it pretty well, but I'm always nervous about letting him fix it. My only other option would be to drive to an oboe specialist either in Atlanta (a few hours away, even though I'd probably actually have to *send* it there and that would make me nervous to send my oboe in the mail) or to drive/send my oboe to like Nashville (which is still quite a few hours away).
So does anyone know what you would adjust to *sharpen* those low notes?

Thanks
