Does she use vibrato? Is this an extreme of her vibrato? If so I suggest you have her play long tones daily without any vibrato at all. And then, if you feel she is at a stage where vibrato is appropriate, I would re-school the vibrato, starting with diaphram pulses and gradually increasing in speed over time until the vibrato naturally starts coming from her throat instead. The other thing to consider, as has been mentioned, is the reed. If she is playing a reed which is too free, then she might subconsciously be backing off from her support -- not leaning into the sound. If she is playing a reed which has too much resistance, she might be struggling with maintaining the support. As an experiment, give her two reeds to try one with each quality -- very free and very resistant -- and see what is going on.
