Is he playing in any ensembles? If you (and some other teachers) can get a student wind-quintet together, the opportunities are almost boundless. As teachers you can take turns (say, 4-6 weeks at a time) to introduce them to some new repertoire and work on their ensemble skills, including intonation, dynamics, phrasing etc.
