I'm sure Alex Klein can sympathise - no doubt he's encountered bad reed days too.
I'm still getting baited about my 'Orpheus' episode with some of the Police band members, only hope it hasn't gone on YouTube. Only I have my secret weapon on standby (in the form of an oboe d'amore) if we ever do that again. I'll probably be tempting fate by wanting to do the Rimsky-Korsakov - though I won't be doing the section that I know will go all t**s up if I get into a tizz!
