Re: how do u make a round and fat tone?

Here are few things to think about:

When you are holding the reed are you using your lips or teeth covered lips? If you use teeth covered lips then your embouchure is very wide making dimples in the corners of your lips and your chin will look like a golf ball, the resulting embouchure will make you look like a 'Cabbage Patch' doll. Now whistle or pucker you lips. Notice what happens when you do this? Your embouchure is much smaller, a tight compact line. See how the corners of your lips move in towards the center and your chin, or the skin covering your chin is stretched flat. Notice also how the jaw need to drop down, and how open your oral cavity is as though you are saying AH. Now with the oboe and reed try to play utilising that embouchure.
See if that has made a difference in your tone.

When you breath is it low and deep? This may sound really very silly but how deep and low you breath does affect the tone. Imagine that you are yawning. See how your stomach moves out to fill your lungs with air. Feel also how deep the breathing is. It should feel as though it is pressing up against your pants. Notice also how the intake of your air has a very low, deep sound. Try playing now using a deep, low breath and see if that changes anything. Conversely you can do the opposite. Take a small shallow breath and now play...notice how the tone changes.

Is the reed to easy and too far in your mouth? Experiment with how much or how little reed you take into your mouth. I suspect that perhaps you have too much reed in your mouth, and that it is too easy of a reed for you.
Failing everything, seek out the help of teacher or another teacher to help you find the desired tone you want. Listen to recordings of oboe players that you really like. This will help you get a concept of tone into your ear that you find more pleasing than what you are producing now.
