There's a very interesting soundclip on the CSO website of Eugene Izotov talking about how he phrases the oboe solo in movement 2 of the Brahms violin concerto based on an idea provided him by Daniel Barenboim at his CSO audition at:
http://www.cso.org/main.taf?p=15,1,58
scroll down to between halfway and the bottom for the full clip; there is also a rebroadcast of the entire concerto nearer to the top.
stressing the high Bb seems almost trivial, but after hearing Izotov talking about it and playing the underlying chords on the clip, I can't get the darn thing out of my head!
