Name ALL cor fingerings after the written note and not the sounding note. So xoo|xoo is always C, even if it sounds F on cor.
Cors are particularly weak up top, so this is normal and embouchure adjustments will help fill out this register.
My Marigaux cor is weak on the upper register Bb (8ve2 xxo|xoo) which is hard to match it's tone quality with the A and the B either side.
And trying different crooks could help, but you need to try them out and compare them with what you already have. They may make some things better and other things worse. I still use the same crooks my cor came with.
