I agree. It is very important to wick the moisture from the two small keys under the left index finger key & the left third finger key after each practice session. These small keys have a tendency to stick.
Also, never, never, never blow into a cold instrument. Warm up both top & mid-joints under arms before assembling your instrument. Tenon end up on mid-joint/top end up on top joint. Three to five minutes depending on ambient temperature is wise. This simple action prevents cracks & condensation from forming. So while your reed is soaking (out of water!!!) do this warming.
