What make is your cor?

With Marigaux cors (and d'amores) they have a larger crook socket compared to Loree, Rigoutat and Howarth (and others) instruments, so if you use a Howarth or Loree crook on a Marigaux cor or d'amore it'll be very loose and need recorking with a much thicker cork.

But at the moment, either wrap the cork with paper or masking tape to see how you get on with it, and if you like it then get it recorked. Though it's always best to have more than one crook anyway - be it a different length, material or make.

The opinions I express are my own.
