Finally! Our first performance. Texarkana's Community band will have it's premier performance on November 11 at 7:30 p.m.
So far it seems to be going well. A hand full of people of obviously were not committed to the band. For every person that left, the same joined throughout that time.
I am guessing this is typical. ?
The program consists of...
America, The Beautiful............Samuel A Ward, Arr. Carmen Dragon
Night Flight to Madrid............Kermit and Walter Leslie
The Sound of Music................Richard Rodgers and
Oscar Hammerstein
Arr. Robert R. Bennet
March - Bravura(Brave Heart)......C.E. Duble
Produced 1918
Themes Like Old Times II..........Arr. Warren Barker
Salute To America's Finest........Arr. Paul Lavender
(The Official Songs of all Branches of the Military Service)
and
The Stars and Stripes Forever.....John Phillip Sousa
Edited by Keith Brion
So....what do you think? I have nothing to compare it to.
If you are in the area.....come join us.
I'm looking forward to it.
