Hand in Hand with Hanon contains the first 20 Hanon piano exercises transcribed in all keys with various articulations for clarinet. The rest of the book is jazz-specific. The 20 Hanon exercises are valuable, but with a couple flaws:

1. The first 18 exercises are only done ascending, but not descending.
2. Each key of each exercise has a specific articulation assigned to it, for some reason. I don't think that articulation should go "hand in hand" with technique exercises, but rather come after technical problems have been mastered slurred.

I prefer other methods, such as Baermann. If I were to use the Hanon exercises, I would slur them all and add descending versions of the first 18, in which case I think they would be very valuable.
