Kai...The "Huntingtower Ballad" was written in 1932, four years before Respighi died. It was written specifically for the 1932 convention of the ABA (American Bandmaster's Association) upon the suggestion of Edwin Franko Goldman.

The inspiration of the piece was a small area in Scotland called Huntingtower...GBK
