I just got a new festival clarinet, and I'm looking gor a case cover or clarinet bag so I won't kill the case. But I have absolutly no idea where I could find one. I thought the case would have some room for accessories but I have way two much stuff that I need all the time, so I thought about getting a clarinet bag to hould everything. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!

I bought my son an Altieri case cover almost 4 years back now, and both the case cover & the case look great. The clarinet literally's been lugged all over the world.

Buffet makes standard case covers for all their cases. I personally like the Altieri case covers, there's two pockets and ample room inside the insulated cover... and they're not much more than the standard Buffet covers.

There are all kinds of Bags & Covers in the "Woodwind & Brasswind" Catalog. Call 1-800-348-5003 for their catalog. Another you may want to try is "Frederick Weiner" 1-800-622-CORK. There are others of course but these two seem to be what most people I know use.

Count me in as anther vote for the Altieri case covers. Ample storage for music and accessories and a neat shoulder strap which makes carrying the horns from gig to gig much easier. Cost for my double case covers around $125.00 each.

I think I would like to take a look at those Altieri case covers. Does anyone know where I could find a picture of what it would look like, the WW and BW catalogue doesn't have a picture.

I bought the double cover from IMS at Oklahoma for $80.

I'm very happy with my Olathe bag. The compartment for the clarinet is very roomy. It has a large music compartment on the front and a large zippered compartment on the back that holds lots of "stuff" like extra reeds, emergency repair kit, pocket music dictionary, etc. It's lined with "sheepskin" and is made of cordura nylon like they use to make backpacks, it has a nice shoulder strap in addition to the handles, AND it was very reasonably priced.

If you are looking for a good case that can hold alot of stuff, I got a new Orley case with my new buffet. It is made of a nylon-y material and the cover has a big pocket that I use to hold screwdrivers, tons of reeds and a big reed case, cork grease, swabs, a clarinet stand, my flipfolder during marching band and even sometimes folded up music. =) My case is the envy of all the other clarinet players in my section!

I have an orly triple case that i used for about a year. But with the hot Texas summers, i don't feel that it provides enough insulation for my horns. Maybe if they made a white replacement cover for it, that would repel some of the heat. The only problem with the triple case is that there isn't that much storage space inside the case, just a little square about 3"X3". The one thing i really like about it, and the main reason i bought one, is that it is VERY light weight. My triple case, with all three clarinets in it, weighed less than my buffet double case with two clarinets.
