im sure somewhere along the way someone has suggested it but.......whenever i read a post that is so well informed i wish i could meet the person who wrote the post. i think it would be cool to meet the regulars who frequent this board. maybe have a sneezy fest. the more experienced musicians could have workshops for the others. there could be level appropriate solos, duets, trios, choirs and the sneezy competition could go live instead of recorded.
just a thot.
wachya guys (n gals) think?

Altough I'm perhaps not really a regular, i'm going to respond anyway.
This kind of meeting will probably take place somewhere in America. To travell from one end to the other end of America is a long way, from Europe or Asia it is even further (and more expensive). Since this is a BBoard on the internet (worldwide), I don't think a lot of people will be able to come. (The same thing with Clarinetfest)

Actually many of us meet each other at the annual ClarinetFests held around the world. Next year's will be Stockholm, Sweden.
It's on a rotating basis - 2 years in the USA, 1 year outside the USA.

There's nothing wrong with haveing regional get-togethers...................all it takes is a little organizing and people with an interest such as yours. Bob Gardner in CA has been trying to encourage some interest in haveing a mini-clarinetfest (clarinet jamb session, or whatever you want to call it) at his ranch. I don't know if he got much of a response .........I've not heard anymore about it.

I like the idea of meeting the people that post on our board, good way of learning by swapping tips and info. Plus, we can help each other with "hands-on" tips personally. Regionally is cool with me. I wouldn't mind meeting those in the NYC area in the future.
