There has been several "Sleigh Rides" written over the years. Other than the one by Leroy Anderson, there's the original by Leo Mozart (Wolfgang's father) that sounds good with wood winds only. Another that an exerp from one of the big Russian pieces (can't remmember the composer) but it was modified into a Christmas piece by a studio band back in the 40s. Its called "Russian Sleigh Ride". From the frozen Russian stepps, you can go down to the ice capped gaters of Brazil with "Brazilian Sleigh Ride" by Percy Faith.
