I partly agree with Mike... however I do think you should look into a more open mouthpeice... Also you will more than likely HAVE to learn how to play sax. I my experience with jazz (what little there is but anyway), all the clarinet player's I've seen in jazz bands (very few and far between) had to try out on sax anyway. I also suggest you look at some jazz books, since jazz style is completely different from classical style.
