The "current" Buffet Tosca 1195 bass is officially labelled "BC1195-2-0". Does that mean there has been a previous version, a "1195-1-0" (though not officially labelled like that, since the first version of anything usually isn't labelled with a version number)?
If so, how did it differ from the current version - and when did the "2.0"-version enter the market?
I'm of course not talking about the Tosca 1185/1185R here, which has been introduced later, but just the 1195-model.
Concerning the Prestige bass, currently labelled as "BC1193-2-0", I'm aware there has been a differing previous version - but don't know about the Tosca.

Isn't that number 2 referring to the type of plating used (which is silver plating)?

Thanks Chris, I believe you are right!
When I'm now checking the Buffet Website and their R13 model, indeed the 2-0 corresponds with silvered keys, while 5-0 corresponds with nickel plated ones.
Mystery solved for me, thanks again!
