I am in possession of a beautiful Selmer Paris 1957 Centered Tone clarinet. BUT, the bell has been replaced with a Selmer Elkhart branded bell. Need sources to find an original. Thanks

I have seen CTs with both made in France bells and Ekhart stamped bells (which I was told were made in USA but I have no information on that). The CTs seemed to have problems with the bell as I have seen several and they were all cracked or had fractures that made them sound funky when tapped with a fingernail. So it wouldn't be surprising if the bell was replaced. I recently bought a made in France vintage Selmer bell and it fits so I am going to use it on mine but am keeping the original bell for its historical value.

The bells on the export models were engraved with all the extra info with both the Selmer Paris and Selmer USA logos.
If your bell looks like the one in the attachment, then it's the original one if the clarinet was sold in the US and Canada.

More likely the problem lay with the user dropping the clarinet than the bell manufacture

Clarinet direct sometimes sell old stock you will just need to check regularly or that site. I have got a couple of lebanc parts e.g. bell from them

crazyclarinet : having inspected at least 5 CT bells I can confirm that the flare seems to be milled thinner. This is less the case with the 9s and 10s that followed. Usage? Milling? The wood quality used ? Dropped or not, the flare seems to be fragile compared to other bells I've seen. Perhaps being a "jazz" horn means they got rougher use than an orchestral instrument, knocked about more on the bandstand, although I haven't noticed this for the 4 BTs that have passed through my hands (and which I prefer), the CT predecessor.

"3D" isn't a verb but I think we can tell what you are asking. Of course it IS possible, but the problem is you have to have a "plan" (detailed instructions for the printer with precise measurements of the bell curvature etc...).
