I have acquired a D.Noblet Bb bearing the serial number 7570. Despite searching through the various lists I'm unable to date it but guess there's a bit of a clue given the makers mark. I'm aware these changed over the years but can't find much about this one.

You have an early Noblet 40, probably made in the 1940s which would have been after world war II. So don't expect them back them to track SNs and such trying to get manufacturing back up.

I've had a few of the early 40s in the past . They're really nice considering their age. Play well, sound well when properly set up.

If you could provide a picture of the upper joint keywork, that would be very helpful in dating your Noblet.
The serial numbers on Noblet's Normandy line was reset to 1 in the mid-1950s. It's very possible that the Noblet serial numbers were also reset.

I don't know if this'll help at all, but my first clarinet was a Noblet, s/n 8167D. It was bought new in 1957 or 1958. The logo is exactly the same as yours.
I understood at the time that the Leblanc-badge instruments were the professional line, the Noblets were considered semi-professional (my repair guy thinks they are terrific horns) and the Normandy line was made up of student instruments (both plastic and wood, if I remember correctly).
I have no idea what distinguishes the Noblet 40 from the 45, either. Good luck, wish I could suggest a next step for ya!

Thanks everyone for the early Noblet Model 40 information. I have a Model 40 SN 3023 with the same early oval D NOBLET simple lyre logo that was gifted to me. I'm considering having restored ( not that I need another clarinet ha!) Here's a photo with the original warranty card.

Unplated keywork, as seen on your instrument, was phased out in favour of nickel-plated keywork during or around 1954.
The fabric-covered case style of your instrument was used until around 1952, and is commonly seen with 1948-1951 Normandy clarinets.
The warranty card pictured is the same style as used with an instrument known to have been sold in January, 1953, and thus likely built in 1952.
Considering these visual clues, along with a serial number in the 3000 range, I think it's likely that your Noblet 40 dates from 1950-1951.
