As an International Clarinet Association (ICA) member, I get the magazine "The Clarinet," which I find interesting and helpful. The ICA now has a new logo, which I liked on first observation, but isn't the stylized clarinet backwards? It depicts the lower joint of a clarinet and bell, with the last ring filled in to dot the "i" of ICA. But the rings are connected by a rod on the right side of the graphic. Shouldn't it be on the other side?

That makes two of us. I just wanted to share the misery with someone else. BTW, I couldn't post an image (every time I try, I get a message saying I can't.) But just go to the clarinet.org website, and it's prominently displayed.

Clearly it is a view of the top part of the bottom joint as seen from the playing perspective.
obviously

Interesting.
Certainly not obvious to me.
What (obviously) happened to the entirety of the top joint that, from the playing perpsective, is between the player's eyes and the bottom joint?
And the "i" for which the filled in ring is (obviously) the dot of the "i" is not the bell of the clarinet?
Yes, the beauty and ambiguity of art ...

Here: Attached is the logo.
The icon conveys a mysterious subliminal message that only higher order leaders knew about. I can not disclose its meaning.....as great evil befalls those who betray the knowledge.

This logo either tries too hard or not nearly hard enough. Not sure which.
I give it two stars.

After delving deeply into the closed sections of the secret library of the Vatican and interpreting the untold secrets of the Masonic and Rosicrucian orders and the secret scrolls of the Elders of Zion in the light of the knowledge contained in the files accumulated by J. Edgar Hoover I have determined the meaning of this mysterious sigil.

Here's the authoratative word responding to my inquiry to operations@clarinet.org:
Yes, you are correct, but I believe the final design was done as it is currently to fit better in the circle. We're calling it artistic license!

Eh, I tried to help them save face.
Really? The serif at the bottom of the "i" is a bell?
