 Buying a clarinet

I played the clarinet for years but gave it up 6 years ago after I left school, I am thinking of going back to it just for myself and looking to buy one. There is one for sale locally, a Yamaha wooden clarinet however, it states it is 35 years old and has not been played properly in 30 years it says it has been checked by a music teacher and is in working order. I am just concerned, does it need to be played regularly to be in good condition? I would go see it before I buy but as I haven’t even played in so many years I don’t even know what I would have to look out or listen for upon inspection. Any help would be great, I also do not want to spend a huge amount and it is for sale for only €170. Thank you in advance!

If it has not been played for 30 years you can be pretty sure that it will need a service and probably at least a partial repad. Clarinets deteriorate in storage. The fact that it is in working order now is an indication that the keywork is functional, but doesn't tell you much about the condition of the pads and corks. Do you know what model it is? Reckon to have to spend some money on it to bring it up to playing condition.
