I played the clarinet for years but gave it up 6 years ago after I left school, I am thinking of going back to it just for myself and looking to buy one. There is one for sale locally, a Yamaha wooden clarinet however, it states it is 35 years old and has not been played properly in 30 years it says it has been checked by a music teacher and is in working order. I am just concerned, does it need to be played regularly to be in good condition? I would go see it before I buy but as I haven’t even played in so many years I don’t even know what I would have to look out or listen for upon inspection. Any help would be great, I also do not want to spend a huge amount and it is for sale for only €170. Thank you in advance!
