 Wood Embargo?

I read somewhere several months ago about a possible difficulty in bringing certain clarinets into the country because the wood is on the endangered species list. Last week I tried to have my local dealer bring in a YAMAHA YCLSEVR. She told me there is an indefinite delay in importing it because of its wood. Do any of you have any further information? Or do we all have to get rubber clarinets?

No there's not. If you get The Clarinet, the next issue should have an article I wrote detailing the latest wood changes.
