On the Yamaha pro basses thread someone said one is in the works being a brand new design and not a copy.( the 622 is based on the old Selmer 33). I like my 622 II as did Clark Fobes when he compared it to the Buffet 1193 and Selmer 67. Article is in September 2014 the clarinet. Clark felt it needs s longer neck as it tunes sharp( I have no problems with tuning). He tried a selmer neck from his selmer 33 which worked out great bringing pitch down. I agree with Clark that the Low D,C# and low C keys really need a redesign. I agree with Clark that it is very easy to play over octave break and has a great altissimo .
