This is a rather recent video of Han Kim. I am not sure if it is before or after he won the Jacques Lancelot Clarinet Competition in France. I saw the repertoire list for the different rounds and I don't recall seeing it listed. Kim's performance of the first movement before a live audience is jaw dropping unbelievable. I listened to it two times before I followed it with a score. It is even more remarkable when you follow the printed part as he pulls off almost every single dynamic marking. All the other performances that I have heard and seen don't come close to following Donatoni's instructions and he does it all effortlessly (at least for him) at a breakneck tempo. He makes sense out of the maelstrom of notes and transforms it from being just an interesting and technically difficult work for solo clarinet into one in the same class as the Stravinsky and Denisov. (I know a lot of you will disagree with that statement.)I read in a Korean press blurb that he is the future of Korean clarinet playing. I beg to differ. He is the future of classical clarinet playing period.I'm still shaking my head.

Sorry, I am one of the few people around that are nearly illiterate regarding computers. If you just go to YouTube and search under Han Kim you'll be able to find it quickly
