Hello
I was wondering what was all the fuss about the selmer series 9 and like people saying their bad...? Can someone tell me why this is such and please give like a general overview on Selmer clarinets.
I personally own one series 9 but it hasn't been played for ages and all the foam and pads are broken. What should I do with it? It should be also noted that I come from 6 years of sax so the "terrible" might just be either me, myself, or the oldness of the clarinet
Thanks for the future answers

Buffet players don't tend to like Selmers, so that's usually the problem.

The Series 9 Selmers I've tried were wonderful, an Eb and a basset horn!

I've been enjoying playing my Series 9 Bb and A full Boehms all last week.
Only time I had trouble was when I didn't put the barrel on my A far enough after a quick change (and it was dark) and found it a struggle to play up to pitch in the left hand and throat notes, only noticing afterwards I left the barrel out by 4mm.
