For my 1908 Buffets, Kalmen Opperman made me a 68.5 mm barrel, which plays in tune on both the Bb and the A. Kal said this was the proper length for Buffets of that vintage. He also made it with a different bore and taper from the current design, though he didn't say what the differences were.
