I have just the lower joint of an wooden Buffet; the serial number is 73961 and it has the logo on the lower joint, in the usual place. When I put the serial number into the Buffet website, I get these two possibilities:
Brand : Buffet Crampon
Instrument : BC 1102.NI
Serial number : 73961
Year of manufacturing : 23/06/1988
Brand : Buffet Crampon
Instrument : N 1 Sib Amrique
Serial number : 73961
Year of manufacturing : 16/11/1962
How can I tell which one it is? I know nothing whatsoever about its history. It is nickel plated, which would make sense with the first option given but I'm not positive it's that one.
Thanks!

E-13 has the "K" prefix before the serial number. The sliver key - Leblanc style.
R-13 has cut outs in the lower joint right-hand cluster under the four right side little finger keys.

Great, thanks! The cut-outs are definitely there so it's an R13. Thanks for your help!
