Like I said in my other thread, I played a Selmer Omega at my cousin's used horn shop. Pretty horn, but it didn't look like the other Omegas I've seen before. Attached are images. The Selmer logo looks like it was scratched on, and the decorative engraving is different.

Weird. The decorative engraving is very nicely done but the Selmer and Omega logos are very crudely done. How did the logos look on the other parts of the instrument? I'm wondering if this might have been a custom bell that someone tried to add the Selmer logo to at a later date. As far as I know that later model (non-Centered Tone) Omega's didn't have decorative engraving on the bells.

I did some checking and found another Selmer USA Omega for sale and the engravings match this one. I wasn't aware that Selmer USA had released an Omega model as I've only seen the Selmer Paris Omega and the CT-Omega. It looks like someone just did a really substandard job of re-gilding the logos on your example.

I've seen these horns before. Not the best quality horns. Nothing like the Selmer Paris models...
