I tried to order a Lyrique, but it is not available now. . Here is the quote from the Ridenour's website :
"We have just sold our last Lyrique 576bc for 2010, and will not be getting any more for final processing and set up until April 2011."
They said they were retooling... Is there anybody better informed about the REAL BEHIND STORY why the Lyrique production is suspended for many months?
Thanks.
Sam

As a customer of Mr. Ridenour's, I can tell you this:
1. Tom says what he means and means what he says. There is no untold story here.
2. The 576BC is worth waiting for!

I also sought to buy a Lyrique but instead got a really good deal on an Arosia. It is in the mail and I can't wait! I am hoping there will be a significant improvement over my Yamaha 52 intermediate horn. It should also be great for traveling which I have do a lot.

Gotta remember, too, that Ridenour doesn't mass produce his clarinets. It takes time for him to personally inspect his work.

By coincidence, I had a conversation with Tom R this morning, and he confirmed that his basses will be out of stock 'til April.

Wonder if he is going to put the BBb into production now. the prototyoe that I purchased from him is a solid horn.

While his BBb would be cool, I'm still waiting for an eefer.
