Both the Wagenseil and Vanhal trios were written before 1800.

The Wagenseil trio was written in the early 1770s.

The 6 trios by Johann Baptist Vanhal, including his "popular" Trio for Clarinet, Violin and Piano, Op. 20, No. 5, in E flat, were first published in 1775 (Chevrardiere, Paris). The second edition was in 1781 (Leduc). One current edition is Schott.
