I bought my reed case approximately a half a year ago. It seems that my reeds have been getting moldy as a result of using some individual reeds too much at marching band. I believe it is long past due, that I should clean my reed case. The problem is I don't know how. When i bought it it came with specific instructions on how to do it unfortunately i threw the instructions away. I have a vandoren reed case that can hold up to 4 reeds. This is a link to it http://www.vandoren.fr/en/accessories.html
I'm afraid of simply running water in it in fear that it might damage the "charcoal" cartridge inside of it. Someone please help me.

I wipe it off and if time permits I will let it air dry for a few minutes before putting it away. That Vandoren case is the only case that I have consistently had problems with, and I had used MANY different cases.

1/3 bleach to 2/3 of water should kill the mold. I surely would play those reeds. This is a basic formula to get rid of mold.
