Selmer Paris/Buffet Bass Clarinet serial numbers?

I cant find any serial charts for these. Theyre both vintage to low E.

Also, is it common to find these horns with 3 digit serial numbers such as 300, 900, etc.?

They should have the same designated serial numbers as all other Selmer Paris clarinets, so a good serial number list will give you a good idea (or an exact answer).

Ones with only three digit numbers will be pretty old - I can't make out the exact number on my old Selmer basset horn, but it has a three digit serial number.

Thanks, I found one finally. According to the Selmer Paris list, if I'm reading it right, the ones with a serial number less than 400 were made somewhere between 1885 and 1926. Anything from 400 to 3070 were 1927 to 1929.
