I play a Vandoren Standard strength 3 on Soprano, and switched to a Legere 3 1/4 because apparently you're supposed to go 1/4 a size up. I dont really like the bright sound I have on the Legere, so I thought I'd try a Fibracell on both bass and soprano. What is the strength difference between the two brands? Or would I just play on a 3 like my Vandorens?

Here's the chart from fibracell's website:

I'm not a big fan of fibracell reeds for soprano clarinet although I do use them from time to time on my bass. Don't be surprised in you have to adjust them a bit to get them to play right.

I don't really pay attention to charts.
I've found that the Legere are about 1/4 too strong comared to Vandoren. Therefore, I use a 4 Vandoren and a 3.75 Legere.
The Legere are about as good a synthetic for soprano as you're going to find (I have yet to test the highly touted Forestones).
As for the Fibracell, they are fine on bass but WAY to chirpy and nasally on soprano in my experience but I did move up a strength on those when I did test them.

I've had some success with Fibracell on soprano. This is after having tried both legere and forestone. I used the Ridenour ATG to adjust them. They respond well and if adjusted they will sound fine. I used a medium strength.
