As I understand it, L'Invitation au Château is rental only and not cheap (I looked into it for my chamber festival this past June).
I think Ken is right, that to get the parts you will have to be lucky enough to meet someone who photocopied the parts while out on rental and who is willing to lend them to you.
But of course nobody will have done that since it is not wholly legal
On the other hand, if you want to talk ethics and not legalities, you might find someone who finds it repugnant that quality chamber music is held for ransom in this fashion (rental-only). Sometimes these people feel they are liberating hostages by sharing copies of rental-only chamber pieces.
I have had brief, furtive encounters with these chamber music "Robin Hoods" but, being a performer and presenter, I cannot risk performing or programming these liberated gems.
Sometimes the rental fee on a piece of chamber music is greater than the concert's entire budget! The result is that good chamber music (like L'Invitation au Château) is rarely played in concert.
