Was a P19xx series/serial number horn a Balanced Tone or a Centered Tone or something else? It is not marked.
Thanks,
Jack

That would be a Centered Tone if it has a hexagonal speaker bush. I just sold my N8xxx CT (17/6), so they were making them before 1954 - there is always some overlap with models.
In the first set of clarinets I bought, the A clarinet is P10xx and that's clearly marked as a CT - the Bb is N69xx and that's not marked and has the large two-part domed speaker bush.

It does not have a hexagonal speaker bush but rather a round somewhat domed one.

I think these models were neither one nor the other - a transitional model between the late BT and early CT where production overlapped, or one of the last BTs made by using up the remaining parts from that production run.
Still a good clarinet to have if you enjoy playing large bore Selmers.
